A large fire broke out in a food store in Al-Haydaria district, north of Najaf, which led to heavy losses to the store’s property.

Civil defense teams managed to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the shops.

Najaf Civil Defense media indicated that “the cause of the fire was an electric short circuit that destroyed all the store’s fast-combustible items, and the fire continued for more than two hours until the firefighting teams were able to extinguish it in cooperation with the residents.”
