The Basra police arrested a gang that stole the contents of heavy equipment in Safwan district.
The Basra Governorate Police Command stated in a statement, “After the Safwan Police Department was informed of the existence of incidents of theft of heavy equipment, a work team was formed to conduct an investigation and arrest the perpetrators, where the Safwan police detachments were able to arrest “two accused of stealing the contents of heavy equipment (electronic mind).”
He added, their statements were written down and they openly confessed that they had committed the theft, and the stolen goods were seized in their possession. They were referred to the judiciary.
