Al-Fatat SC ranks second in females road running race

– Al-Fatat Club won on Sunday the second place in the finals of the general championship of road-running race over three kilometers distance organized by the Kuwaiti Athletics Federation, while Al-Sahel club took the third place.

Player Amal Al-Roumi from Al-Fatat Club won the first place in the race, while her colleague Lulwa Al-Askar came second, while Kuwait Club player Noura Adel won the third place.

The honorary member of Kuwait Athletics Federation, Fatima Al-Eissa, said in her speech at the closing ceremony that organizing such tournaments for women is a positive contribution to support Kuwaiti women, especially as they have proven successful in all fields, praising the distinguished participation of Kuwaiti clubs and players in the championship.

For his part, the head of the Kuwait Athletics Federation Sayer Al-Enezi told KUNA that the federation was keen to organize a special race for women this to encourage Kuwaiti girls to participate in this ancient sport, considering the participation as “a success” to the federation.

Player Amal Al-Roumi told KUNA that the race witnessed a strong competition as she finished the race within 10 minutes and 48 seconds, expressing her pride on winning the first place.
