RABAT– Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim arrived on Wednesday in Morocco to attend an emergency meeting of speakers of Arab parliaments on developments pertaining to Jerusalem.
Upon arrival, Al-Ghanim and his accompanying delegation were received by Morocco’s deputy parliament speaker Rashid Al-Abdi, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Morocco Abdullatif Al-Yahya and members of the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission in Rabat.
The delegation includes MPs Rakan Al-Nesf, Khalil Abul, Omar Al-Tabtabie and Al-Humaidi Al-Subaie.
Al-Ghanim is set to deliver a speech at the summit on Thursday, in which he will address US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital that sparked outrage in the wider Arab region.
