Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the National Wisdom Movement, discussed with the Turkish Ambassador, Ali Reza Konay, developments in the Iraqi and regional arena, and ways to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Ankara.
Al-Hakim’s office said in a statement, “During the meeting, the common aspects between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples were activated.
Al-Hakim blessed “the government and people of Turkey for the success of the recent elections and the active participation of the Turkish people in them as an expression of the development of the political system in Turkey and the people’s interdependence with it.”
He pointed out that the development road is a strategic project that connects the region with each other and makes it a station between the East and the West, and we also renewed the reference that approving the Iraqi budget for three years will provide opportunities in the field of reconstruction and development, and we called on Turkish companies to invest the opportunity and achieve mutual benefit with Iraq.
