The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, stressed the importance of showing the bright image of Iraq in front of the Arab and foreign media delegations who will attend the Iraqi Press National Day celebrations, which represent more than (50) countries around the world.
This came during the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, who chaired the meeting of the Supreme Committee in charge of preparing for the celebrations of the National Day of the Iraqi Press in its 154th anniversary. Arab and foreign culture and media, heads of Arab media institutions and international organizations concerned with journalism and media, in addition to preparing all the logistical and technical requirements for holding celebrations, the most prominent of which is the preparation for the central celebration that will be held in Al-Zawraa Hall in Al-Rasheed Hotel, the Governorates Festival in Al-Zawraa Park, and the mass celebration in the Cultural and Social Center of One Thousand and One Nights as well as hosting meetings of the permanent office and the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists.
They also discussed, according to a statement by the Syndicate today, what will be provided by the supporting authorities represented by a number of ministries and other departments, which the Prime Minister instructed in cooperation with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate to provide all facilities for the success of this national celebration.
The members of the meeting conducted a reconnaissance tour in Al-Zawraa Park, in the presence of the heads of the Syndicate’s branches in the governorates, in preparation for the carnival that will be held there on the evening of Saturday, June 17.
The meeting included representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior, Electricity, Culture and Transportation, Baghdad Operations Command, the Municipality of Baghdad, the Iraqi Media Network, the Media and Communications Commission, the Civil Aviation Authority and other official bodies, in addition to members of the Syndicate Council, committees and heads of the Syndicate’s branches in the provinces.
