Al-Ojairi Scientific Center: daytime reaches 14 hours in Kuwait Tues.

KUWAIT, June 19 (KUNA) — Al-Ojairi Scientific Center announced on Sunday that next Tuesday Kuwait would witness 14 hours and two minutes of daytime, as oppose to nine hours and 58 minutes of nighttime.

Public Relation Director in Al-Ojairi Scientific Center, Khaled Al-Jamaan said that this phenomenon happened due to Kuwait’s unique geographic location in north of the Gulf region.

“This happens every year because of the sunlight movement reaching its maximum extent in the northern half of the globe,” he added.

He pointed out that the sun is in its highest point these days, and will gradually back down starting on July 5.
