Algeria, Saudi Arabia hold talks on bilateral ties, Libya crisis

ALGIERS Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune tackled with visiting Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud on Thursday bilateral relations, and the recent developments on the Libyan crisis.

During the meeting, the Algerian leader also received an official invitation from the Saudi King to visit the kingdom, Algerian presidential statement said.

According to the statement, the meeting also reviewed finding ways to advance relations in a way that meets the aspirations of the two countries and Arab and Islamic nations.

The meeting also discussed regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the crisis in Libya.

After the meeting, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan told reporters that his discussions with the Algerian leader was an opportunity to consult on various issues, stressing the kingdom’s keenness to develop these relations and boost them to new levels.

The minister affirmed on the unified in terms of views between the two countries on a number of topics, indicating that Saudi Arabia is keen to coordinate with Algeria in everything that is in the interest of the Arab and Islamic worlds and expressed his hope for continued communication and cooperation between the two countries.
