ALGIERS: Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum and his visiting UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday discussed regional and international issues, primarily the Libyan conflict.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Boukadoum said he and the UAE guest had exchanged views on a host of subjects that concern both sides, foremost the crisis in Libya.
He added that they had also considered ways of promoting and upgrading bilateral relations in economic and trade domains to be up to the existing level of bilateral political bonds.
On his part, the UAE official said he had conveyed an UAE invitation to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to visit the Gulf country in the near future.
He added that the visit would aim at strengthening UAE-Algerian ties in all domains, mainly in the sectors that are of paramount significance to the people of both countries.
