– Kuwaiti leadership and people are keen on providing high-level support to the Saudi and Middle East Green Initiatives aimed at battling the effects of global warming, and other environmental hazards, said a Kuwaiti diplomat Sunday.
Speaking to KUNA, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah affirmed that the participation of His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in the Middle East Green Initiative Summit reflected his country’s interest in aiding Saudis in improving the environmental future for the region and the world.
The launch of the Saudi Green Initiative yesterday and the green youth summit were all indicators that the Saudi leadership and people were interested in the upcoming generations, he affirmed.
Sheikh Ali pointed out that improving the environment in the Middle East region was a great goal that Saudi Arabia had taken responsibility of, affirming that the Kingdom’s people were up to the task.
Saudi Arabia is hosting since yesterday the Saudi Green Initiative forum. It will kick-start the Middle East Green Initiative Summit Monday, which will gather leaders from all around the world.
