Arab League condemns Israeli approval of settlers’ return to dismantled settlements

The Arab League condemned on Wednesday the Israeli Knesset’s approval of a bill allowing the return of Jewish settlers to four settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories that were dismantled in 2005.

The League Assistant General Secretary of Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories Affairs Saeed Abu Ali affirmed in a statement that this racist colonial legislation constituted an explicit violation of the Security Council Resolution number 2334.

Abu Ali called the international community to intervene immediately and pressure Israel to respect the decisions of the international legitimacy by stopping all its illegal and racist actions.

He also called for the need to stop the Israeli aggressions on Palestinian lands and people defending their right to live and exercise basic human rights to sovereignty and independence.

He also referred to the targeting of the Palestinian medical facilities by firing teargas and assaulting patients, including children and the medical staff, stressing that this immoral crime is a violation to all international human rights.

He added that this action confirmed the racism of their government, which deliberately escalates violence and terrorism that starts a crisis in the entire region
