Arab League: Joint military exercises “important” to unify strategic plans

CAIRO, June 19 (KUNA) — The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ambassador Khalil Al-Thawadi, affirmed on Sunday that the joint military training between Arab countries was a base for enhancing cooperation and unifying military methods of strategic and operational planning.

This came in a speech during the opening of the 26th symposium for the representatives of the head training bodies in the Arab armed forces.

He pointed out the importance of joint training in benefiting from the human resources of the Arab armies and dealing with various modern and advanced weapons and equipment, in addition to the military cooperation by raising the development of military competencies for the armed forces in Arab countries.

He noted that the main objective is to prepare a unified guiding study to raise the military efficiency, including members of the armed forces and students of military colleges, and enable them to develop their skills and deal well with various circumstances.

He also stressed the need to work on raising the capabilities of the leader’s responsibility in training to research and develop methods in all fields to unify the military doctrines in the Arab countries to work in a harmonious and integrated manner.

Kuwait is participating in the five days symposium titled “The most appropriate method for planning and implementing joint training among Arab countries” with a delegation headed by the representative of the Head of the Military Education Authority, Colonel Abdullah Al-Fahad.
