Britain: Iran protests reflect resentment of people

LONDON, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Wednesday the protests erupted in Iran are evidence of the anger of Iranian people over the regime.

In reply to questions of reporters during a news conference following the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Summit, Jonson said he thinks that the demonstrations are not related to fuel prices. He said that they erupted due to people’s resentment over the regime, noting that he was not astonished by the incidents in Iran.

Iran’s activities in the region aim to divert attention away from the regime’s deviations, he said.
