CMA attains Iso Certificate in information security management systems

Capital Markets Authority (CMA) announced Wednesday that it has attained Iso Certificate in information security management systems (ISO/IEC 27001:2013), a certificate that encompasses all of the authority?’s information technology and communication systems.

CMA Chairman of Board of Commissioners Dr. Ahmad Al-Melhem affirmed, in a statement, the authority?’s keenness on safeguarding the privacy of its data, and the data of personnel under its supervision, in an effort to apply the best data security international standards as the (ISO 27001) is considered amongst the best in the field.

Dr. Al-Melhem indicated that TUV, a global leader in independent testing, inspection and certification services, examined CMA?’s compliance with all technical requirements, supervisory and security regulations, and confirmed the implementation of active policies and measures relating to information security management systems.

CMA was established according to law 7 for the year 2010, and it aims to regulate and oversee activities of capital markets based on principles of transparency, fairness and efficiency
