DM heads to Brussels to attend anti-IS meeting

First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah left the country Thursday, accompanied by a high-level military delegation, for Brussels to attend an anti-IS meeting.

The visit comes to attend the ministerial meeting of the member states of the international coalition to combat the so-called Islamic state (IS), to be held at NATO headquarters, Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

He was seen off at the airport by Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Lieutenant General Mohammad Al-Khader, Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and a number of senior army officers.
