EU appoints Romanian diplomat as first ambassador to Kuwait

BRUSSELS, European Union High Representative Federica Mogheirni Friday announced the appointment of Cristian Tudor as its new ambassador to Kuwait. Cristian Tudor is currently Ambassador of Romania to Qatar, according to a statement released by Mogherini’s office.

The new European Union’s (EU) embassy in Kuwait was opened on July 14 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Federica Mogheirni, who said during the inauguration ceremony that the embassy’s opening proved how close the two sides, and showcased EU’s desire to strengthen relations with Kuwait.
