BRUSSELS, The EU-League of Arab States summit will take place on 24-25 February in the International Congress Centre in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
The summit will for the first time bring together European Union and League of Arab States heads of state or government, with the aim to enhance Euro-Arab cooperation, said an EU media advisory Thursday.
The leaders will address a wide range of issues and common challenges, such as trade and investment, security, multilateralism and the rules based global order, migration and the situation in the region, it said.
President of the European Council Donald Tusk will co-chair the meeting together with the host, President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will also represent the EU.
The meeting is expected to start in the afternoon on Sunday 24 February and end with a press conference in the afternoon on Monday 25 February.
The media accreditation procedure for this summit is now open, it added.
