EU FMs to discuss security situation in Arabian Gulf

BRUSSELS, The European Union foreign ministers will have a discussion on regional security in the Arabian Gulf and Iran during their formal meeting in Brussels on Monday, November 11, according to EU sources.

The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, told reporters on Thursday that ministers will discuss the EU’s possible role in contributing to de-escalation in the region.

They will also discuss the latest development regarding the Iran nuclear deal. EU foreign ministers will also have a discussion on the situation in Sudan over lunch with the new Prime Minister of Sudan Abdalla Hamdok.

Further, they will exchange views on Turkey’s military action in northeast Syria and developments in Afghanistan and Venezuela.
