The first group of pilgrims from the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, who are benefiting from Makkah Route Initiative, launched by the Ministry of Interior as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program of the Saudi Vision 2030, arrived in Makkah today.
The first group, consisting of 500 pilgrims, is part of a larger group of 5,000 Ivorian pilgrims scheduled to perform the Hajj rituals this year. They arrived a few days ago at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, having travelled from Abidjan International Airport. Upon their arrival, the Ivorian pilgrims were greeted with flowers, Zamzam water, and souvenirs in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Coulibaly Drissa, and several officials.
Ambassador Drissa expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts and services provided by the Saudi government to the pilgrims in both Makkah and Madinah.
