Football fans gear up for World Cup ’22 kick off tomorrow

Football fans around the world will be direct their attention tomorrow to the Qatari capital, Doha, and will witness a historic event through the opening of the FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022), With the participation of 32 teams from six continents to play 64 matches at 8 stadiums built especially to host the most spectacular event in sports.

The tournament begins with the group stage, and there are eight groups, with four teams in each group, and this stage group will last until December 2.

The second phase is the knockout stage, which will bring together the winners of the first and second teams from each group, to adavnce to the the round of 16, which will continue with the knockout system until the final match.

This exceptional tournament, which is being held for the first time in the Arabian Gulf, the Middle East, and the Arab world, begins with the opening match of the tournament, facing the host nation Qatar against Ecuador, the fourth South American qualifier in Group A.

The match will be held at Al-Bait Stadium, the second largest stadium built for this World Cup Finals 2022, the game will be precedes the opening ceremony, which is expected to be impressive and attended by dignitaries from around the world, including politicians, athletes and others, in addition to huge crowds that will fill the stadium, which can accommodate about 60,000 spectators.

The Qatari team, which has prepared for years for this moment, seeks to win their first match and make their fans happy.

It’s an important step in order to advance in the second rounds.

For their part, Ecuador wants to achieve a positive result in their first match to enhance chances of qualifying in a group that is not easy at all, as it also includes the Netherlands and Senegal, who will meet the following day Monday.

Four Arab teams are taking part in this tournament, in addition to host Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Tunisia.

The tournament will be held at Lusail stadium, the largest one, which will host most matches, the most important of which is the final match, other stadiums are Al-Bait, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Al-Janoub, Khalifa International, the Education City, Al-Thumama and Stadium 974.

The World Cup will conclude on December 18th.
