France committed to aid Lebanon’s economy

PARIS, French President Emmanual Macron assured on Friday his country’s commitment to aid Lebanon’s plan to repair its economy.

In a press conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri, Macron said that France will stay committed to Lebanon’s security and stability.

He also stressed the importance of projects for electricity, infrastructure, and administrative restoration as well as his country’s commitment to implement resolutions of the 2018 CEDRE Conference that was held in France.

France is working towards resolving the Syrian crisis and helping the migrants back home as “a solution that cannot be reached in a couple of weeks and forget about the reason behind the migration of refugees,” added Macron.

Al-Hariri added that he held excellent talks with French companies on investing in Lebanon, noting “it’s about time to launch investmenta.” He also expressed thanks to France’s constant support to Lebanon’s security and economy, assuring his country is committed in implementing the Security Council’s 1701 resolution.

Macron held discussions with Al-Hariri at the Elysee Palace focusing on Lebanon and the region’s latest developments and the implementation of CEDRE Conference resolutions.
