France seeks enhanced dialogue with Turkey over regional issues – Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed hope Saturday dialogue with Turkey would enhance, specially over Syria.

Macron, in a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, called for increasing cooperation with Turkey in domains of counter-terrorism, regional crises and immigration, as well as Ankara’s important role in hosting Syrian refugees, Elysee Palace said in a statement.

Macron, it added, hoped dialogue with Turkey would be further promoted to restore stability in Syria and achieve a credible political process.
