RIYADH, The Future Investment Initiative (FII) third Forum will kick off here tomorrow (Tuesday) until October 31, with the participation of international investors, experts and decision makers to discover new economic opportunities and approaches.
Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported on Monday that the initiative is under the auspices of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, and headed by the Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, Head of Economic and Developmental Affairs Council and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
This initiative is shedding light on the future industries and enriches discussions on investment contributions to boosting development worldwide.
“What Is Next for Global Business” is FII’s topic this year, as the first highlight is tackling sustainable future, and the second theme focuses on technology for everyone’s good, while the third theme will focus on advanced society.
FII organizes 12 workshops that works in following up with emerging businesses, investments approaches, as well as cities, energy, climate, health, transport, food, travelling, sports, shopping, young youth, and other issues.
The first version of FII was launched back in 2017 to encourage international communication between investors and inventors and governments, along with heads of economic sectors, and witnessed wide participation of ministers, state officials and investors from various parts of the world.
In 2018, the second version was launched as a number of agreements were announce, exceeding the value of SR 225 billion- around USD 60 billion)- including investments in various sectors and projects of energy, housing, health, information and communication technology.
More than 3,500 people from 88 parts of the world took part in the second version, along with eight presidents, 20 ministers, with 2.6 views during the live broadcasting of the forum.
