G20 Sherpa officials meet in Riyadh

RIYADH, The official representatives of G20 Sherpa leaders came together in Riyadh on Friday for the first time under the kingdom’s G20 Presidency.

The meeting was held under the rubric: “Realizing Opportunities of the 21st Century for All”, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Addressing the meeting, Fahad Al-Mubarak, the chairman of the gathering, said: the G20 has a responsibility to the world to overcome current and emerging issues, to tackle global challenges together, and to make the world a better place for all.

The event focused on empowering people, safeguarding the plnet and shaping new frontiers, the agency said.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host a series of Sherpa Meetings during its Presidency ahead of the Leaders?’ Summit in Riyadh on 21-22 November 2020.
