GCC Chief, Malaysian Minister of Investment Discuss Free Trade Agreement

Riyadh: The GCC Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi and Malaysian Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Senator Tengku Datuk engaged in discussions about the latest developments in the free trade agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Malaysia.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this meeting took place during Al-Budaiwi’s reception of the Malaysian Minister at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting focused on enhancing trade, industrial, and investment ties between the GCC and Malaysia.

Additionally, both parties discussed and examined the potential for an economic forum involving Malaysia and the GCC states. The dialogue aimed to strengthen economic collaboration and explore new opportunities for mutual growth, as stated by the Secretariat.
