Riyadh: Education is a priority for their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, as their visions and decisions are based on achieving a brighter future and a better tomorrow, said Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC, Khaled Al-Sunaidi.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this statement was part of a speech delivered by Al-Sunaidi at the preparatory meeting held today by the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the GCC.
He emphasized that education serves as an essential tool for transforming reality and preparing for the future by equipping individuals to handle modern developments and information technology.
Al-Sunaidi highlighted that the current preparatory meeting aims to ensure equal treatment for GCC citizens in universities and higher education institutions. It also seeks to anticipate the future of higher education and scientific research by establishing frameworks and systems that align with the aspirations of the GCC states.
The Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research are scheduled to convene tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the enhancement of education quality, curriculum development, and the integration of educational policies among member states.
