Gulf 26 Football Tournament Draw Places Qatar, UAE, and Oman in Kuwait Group.


Kuwait City: The 26th Gulf Cup football tournament draw, held on Saturday, placed Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman in Group A, while Group B included Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen. Kuwait will host the tournament from 21 December to 3 January, and as the host nation, it is positioned at the head of Group A. Iraq leads Group B as the current title holder from the previous tournament.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the matches will be held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium and Al-Sulaibikhat Club Stadium. This year marks the fifth occasion that Kuwait will host the Gulf Cup, having previously hosted in 1974, 1990, 2003, and 2017.

Kuwait holds the record for the most Gulf Cup victories, having won the tournament ten times. Iraq follows with four titles, while Saudi Arabia and Qatar have each secured three wins. Oman and the UAE have claimed the title twice, with Bahrain having won once.
