Kuwait sees extremely hot weather on Sunday with Al-Jahra meteorological station reporting 53 Celsius degrees followed by Al-Salibiya station – 52.1 °C.

The heatwave and high humidity, especially in the coastal areas, are expected to last until Monday evening, Dhrar Al-Ali, director of the observatory stations at the Meteorological Dept., told KUNA.

On Tuesday, the temperature will go down to below 50 °C. maximum when the wind direction shifts from southeast to northwest, he said, noting that horizontal visibility will decline due to relatively strong wind until Thursday
