Heritage Commission Sets Record in Guinness World Records with Khawlani Coffee Beans

The Heritage Commission has set a record in the Guinness World Records by having the longest phrase, Heritage Commission, written on a painting made up of 6,088 Saudi Khawlani coffee beans, as part of the commission’s World Heritage Day events held recently at the King Abdulaziz Historical Centre in Riyadh.

The commission representatives received the registration certificate in the presence of a representative of Guinness World Records.

The Saudi Khawlani is one of the most prestigious types of coffee; it has been associated with the habits, poetry, folk songs and economy of the people of the region. It is the tenth item to be recorded in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

Having set this record in the Guinness World Records shows the Heritage Commission’s keenness to be made known worldwide, including among organisations and in encyclopedias, in a bid to acquaint the international community with the importance of the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and the support it receives
