New Delhi: Indian defense authorities announced on Wednesday that its armed forces carried out strategic strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a statement from the Indian Defense Ministry early morning today confirmed that the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, successfully targeting nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These sites were identified as the origins of planned and directed attacks against India.
The Defense Ministry clarified that the actions were focused, measured, and non-escalatory. Importantly, no Pakistani military facilities were targeted during the operation. India emphasized its restraint in selecting targets and executing the operation, highlighting its commitment to accountability following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which resulted in the deaths of 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen.
“We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable,” India asserted.
