Iran summons Swiss charge d’affaires over killing of group chief

TEHRAN, Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Friday summoned the Swiss charge d’affaires, tasked with looking after American interests in the nation, against the backdrop of killing the chief of an Iranian paramilitary squad, Qassem Soleimani, in Iraq.

Abbas Musavi, spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, tweeted that the Iranian side expressed strong condemnation to the diplomat over the killing of Soleimani.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, expressed strong denunciation of the killing saying in a statement that Tehran would mobilize all its “political and legal potentials to bring the American administration to account.”
