TEHRAN, Iran’s negotiations with European countries regarding the nuclear agreement are proceeding in right direction, said Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political and International Affairs.
Negotiations are proceeding in the right direction and the Europeans are “considering the timeline offered by Iran,” Araghchi told reporters after a meeting with the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
Iran, he added, has not yet decided whether to remain or leave the nuclear agreement.
He said Iran asked the European countries to provide guarantees “so that we can take the right decision” regarding the agreement.
The European Union announced last week it would protect interest of the European companies working in Iran after the US withdrew from the nuclear agreement and re-imposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
