Iraq’s top journalist hails His Highness the Kuwaiti Amir support to Iraq

An Iraqi journalist hailed generous initiative by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in hosting Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq (KICRI), including his constant support for Iraq that won the hearts and minds of Iraqis.

President of the Federation of Journalists of Iraq (IJS) Moaid Allami, speaking to KUNA after arrival in Kuwait, heading a delegation of journalists, said the visit comes as part of media preparation for the conference, scheduled to take place on February 12-14.

Allami added KICRI represents a huge step for Iraq, due to the support given by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait with an initiative that will bolster relations between the two countries, in addition to the humanitarian aspect to it.

IJS chief expressed also his thanks to media higher committee in charge of KICRI headed by Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammad Abulhasan, Ministry of Information, and Kuwait Journalists Association for the efforts in ensuring success to the conference.

For his part, Undersecretary of the External Media at the Ministry of Information Faisal Al-Mutlaqqem said visit by the Iraqi delegation comes in coordination with the higher committee, and to ensure success for the conference.

Al-Mutlaqqem added the invitation to IJC delegation also to give them more time to interview officials prior to the conference.
