Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Shalwalah, the candidate of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, has won first place in the International Competition for the Holy Quran in Croatia, held from 11-13 May. The contestant was awarded the Croatia medal for the above 35-year age group by the President of the Islamic Sheikhdom of the Republic of Croatia, Sheikh Aziz Hasanovic, in the presence of the heads of missions of 24 participating countries.
On this occasion, the contestant affirmed that this achievement was a result of the keenness, interest, and care of the Ministry, noting the continuous support provided by the government to encourage and motivate people to participate in Quran competitions and achieve high positions while representing the Kingdom.
The Kingdom has achieved top place in past international Quran competitions, as the contestants are the winners of the Local Competition of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Holy Quran Memorization.
