Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced on Monday that an Israeli airstrike has killed one person in southern Lebanon. A ministry statement confirmed that the fatality resulted from the strike targeting a van in the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Israeli occupation army has intensified its attacks in recent days, breaching the border into Ayta ash-Shaab and its surroundings. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli Apache helicopters conducted an extensive overnight aerial sweep on the outskirts of the border town of Yaroun in southern Lebanon.
Despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on November 27, and the subsequent withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territories, except for a few positions along the southern border, Israel continues to target towns and vehicles across several areas.
