Israeli forces injure 18 Palestinians east of Nablus

A number of 18 Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli troops in Nablus, north of the West Bank, said a Palestinian source Tuesday morning.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that among the injured during clashes with Israeli forces was an individual who was wounded by live bullets while 17 others sustained injury from rubber bullets.

Clashes broke out after dozens of settlers stormed the Prophet Joseph Tomb area to perform Talmudic rituals.

The tomb is located in the eastern area of Nablus, near the Balata refugee camp and is under control of the Palestinian Authority.
