GAZA– Israeli force shot and injured five Palestinians during confrontations between Palestinian youth and occupation troops along the eastern borders of Gaza Strip on Saturday, the Health Ministry in the strip said.
Five Palestinians were injured in the clashes and were rushed to hospitals for treatment, ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a statement.
He said four injured Palestinians came from eastern Gaza while other from the center of the enclave.
Al-Qudra said 20 Palestinians suffocated gas from bombs fired by the Israeli forces, but they were treated by medics on the field.
Border areas of the besieged enclave have been witnessing clashes between the Palestinians and Israeli forces in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and the transfer of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied city.
