Israeli missiles target Palestinians east of Gaza

An Israel unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Wednesday targeted Palestinian protesters on the Gaza Strip eastern borders, according to Palestinian local media reports. The UAV shot at a group of young Palestinians who used to fly fiery kites over Israel, but no casualties were reported.

The Israeli military said that some 45 rockets had been fired from Gaza toward Israel overnight on Tuesday. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted seven of the rockets. In response, the Israelis attacked the Strip, targeting a total of 25 Hamas targets.

The Gaza rockets came in retaliation of the raids by Israel’s fighter jets targeting posts of the Palestinian resistance in different parts of Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said in a statement Wednesday that the Israelis had detained 20 Palestinian in the West Bank, six in Nablus, four in Hebrew, three in Jenin, six from Tulkarm and Bethlehem and one from Ramallah.

The Israeli forces also today demolished a house in the village of Qalandiya, north of Jerusalem, as it was built with no license.

The house owner told KUNA that he had lavished great efforts to obtain a license for building the house, but it was in vain.

The forces neglected an Israeli court ruling providing that the house would not be demolished, he added.
