Israeli Occupation Army Initiates Limited Ground Offensive in Gaza

Gaza: The Israeli occupation army has launched a limited ground offensive in the central and southern regions of the Gaza Strip under the pretext of expanding what it refers to as the “defensive zone” between the north and south of the enclave.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the occupation army has issued warnings to Palestinians to avoid the Salaheddin Road, which links the northern and southern parts of Gaza. The Israeli forces have been deployed to the center of the Netzarim Corridor, a route previously used by displaced Palestinians to return to their homes in northern Gaza following a recently reached ceasefire.

The renewed offensive follows only a couple of months after a ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement between the Israeli occupation and the Hamas Movement. The latest aggression has resulted in hundreds of Palestinian civilian casualties, leaving many killed or injured since the offensive began.
