RAMALLAH, Eight Palestinians were injured while tens of others suffered from teargas during clashes with Israeli troops in Nablus city, northwest of the West Bank, said the Palestinian Red Crescent Society Friday.
A statement by the society indicated that Israeli troops used live and rubber rounds to disperse Palestinians protesting the visit of settlers to the area of Prophet Joseph’s tomb east of the city, a location deemed to under Palestinian control according to the Oslo Peace Accords.
Meanwhile, Palestinians in the Duma village south of Nablus said that house was set on fire. Settlers are suspected to behind the attack.
