Jeddah, The University of Jeddah has taken part in a translation competition organized by the King Abdulaziz Public Library branch at Beijing University. The competition was between Arab and Chinese universities.

Shouq Fawwaz Al-Thubaiti, a student from the Department of Chinese Language in the Languages and Translation Faculty at the University of Jeddah, secured third place in the Chinese to Arabic translation category. She competed against 640 participants from various Arab universities.
