Jordan cabinet reshuffled

AMMAN, Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Al-Razaz has reshuffled his cabinet covering various portfolios — the fourth such government posts’ change, the official news agency PETRA said on Thursday.

The reshuffle has covered the portfolios of higher education, scientific research, education, environment, agriculture, finance, planning, media, awqaf, culture, youth and transports.

The premier deputy post that had been occupied BY Rejali Al-Muashar has been cancelled. Mohammad Al-Asas takes over the finance post, succeeding Ezz-Eddine Kanakre.

Salame Hammad is retaining the interior portfolio. Ayman Al-Safadi has remained the minister of foreign affairs. However, the reshuffle affected the position, the minister of state for media affairs, where Amjad al-Ghadayneh takes over the post from Jumana Ghunaimat.

The post, youth and culture, has been split into two positions. Likewise, the portfolio of education and teaching.

This is the fourth reshuffle for the 14-month government.
