Jordan King denounces Houthi drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities

AMMAN, King Abdullah II, of Jordan, reaffirmed on Saturday full support to Saudi Arabia in the face of any aggression on its national security and stability.

The Saudi national security is integral part of Jordan’s national security, the Royal Court said in a statement, citing readout of a phone call between King Abdullah II and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

During the conversation, King Abdullah II condemned “the cowardly attack” on two Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia earlier today, for which the Yemeni Houthi militias claimed responsibility, the statement noted.

The Saudi authorities said the drone attacks targeted Aramco’s oil processing plant in Abqaiq and Khurais oilfield, triggering fires at both sites, which were timely put out.
