Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will hold a special meeting for the Kuwaiti private sector tomorrow to brief them on investment opportunities to be tabled during the reconstruction conference, said the Chamber’s Director General Rabah Al-Rabah Saturday.
This meeting will precede the (Invest in Iraq) general conference, which is part of the overall Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq (KICRI); to be held from February 12 to 14, Al-Rabah told KUNA.
The (Invest in Iraq) forum will be co-organized by KCCI, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Iraq’s National Investment Commission and the World Bank.
Some 330 Kuwaiti private sector companies seek to put hands on such ventures in banking, reconstruction and energy among other ventures, noted Al-Rabah. KCCI saw it as informative to hold such orientation, he remarked.
As near as 50 countries are expected to take part in the (Invest in Iraq) conference. Some USD 85 billion in investment opportunities are up for grabs during KICRI, which will be chaired by Kuwait, Iraq, the European Union, the United Nations and the World Bank.
