Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) distributed on Monday 4,870 schoolbags to children in Yemen.
KRCS Director General Abdulrahman Al-Oun said in a statement to KUNA that the distribution of the schoolbags included seven governorates, Hadramout, Abyan, Aden, Shabwah, Taiz, Sanaa and Marib.
He added that this came within the framework of the society’s interest to ensure the educational process in Yemen and support the parents buying school supplies.
He affirmed the KRCS endeavor to continue supporting the education sector in Yemen in all its fields through the humanitarian work it undertakes, such as building schools and educational centers and many others.
Al-Oun praised the role of everyone who participated or contributed in any way towards the charity’s projects.
