KU names student winners as “women, environment ambassadors”

The College of Social Sciences at Kuwait University (KU) Wednesday recognized outstanding students as “Women and Environment Ambassadors,” in cooperation with the EU delegation to Kuwait.

This was during the organization of the College of Social Sciences, in cooperation with the EU delegation to Kuwait, to announce and the winners in the student competition.

The Acting Charge d’Affaires of the EU Delegation to Kuwait Irina Gusacenko said in a statement that the EU is committed to supporting Kuwait and the bright Kuwaiti youngsters in their efforts to protect the environment and enhance the female’s role in environmental policies.

In a similar statement, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at KU Dr. Mohammad Al-Sahli said that raising awareness of climate change, highlighting the role of women in making environmental policies, and improving youth capabilities to preserve the environment are all vital.

The three winners issued papers that dealt with topics of the female’s contribution to reducing the effects of climate change, including proposing solutions, recommendations and guidelines for Kuwait
