KUNA and MENA Explore Enhanced Media Cooperation

Cairo: KUNA Deputy Director General for Administrative, Financial and Communications’ Affairs Mohammad Al-Mannai engaged in discussions with Editor-in-Chief of Middle East News Agency (MENA), Ahmad Kamal, focusing on enhancing media cooperation and the exchange of expertise.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting was part of Kamal’s reception of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) delegation, led by Al-Mannai. Al-Mannai commended the existing collaboration between KUNA and MENA, emphasizing the importance of exchanging experiences and information to foster media development.

Kamal highlighted the significant role of KUNA in professional information exchange and expressed a strong interest in bolstering cooperation by initiating MENA’s office in Kuwait. He acknowledged Kuwait’s pivotal position in reporting on Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.

Kamal also noted MENA’s rich media heritage, which includes visits by various heads of state to Egypt and a substantial archive of news, photos, and video clips. The meeting featured a tour of MENA’s training center, halls, and museum, where the delegation was introduced to modern programs and methods offered by the Agency.

Al-Mannai praised the efforts of KUNA’s bureau in Cairo, which diligently follows Arab and international events hosted by Egypt and covers activities of official Kuwaiti delegations. The delegation accompanying Al-Mannai included Deputy Editor-in-chief for International Affairs Oqab Al-Qouba, Administrative Affairs Director Adel Al-Musaileem, Acting Head of the International Marketing and Public Relations Hanouf Al-Mansour, and Procurement Department Head Majid Al-Subaie.
