KUNA chief, Moroccan envoy discuss enhancing cooperation

Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Dr. Fatma Al-Salem received on Thursday the Moroccan Ambassador Ali Ibn Issa discussing means of boosting cooperation in various sectors, namely the media.

Dr. Al-Salem, during her meeting with the envoy in her office, noted that Kuwait and Morocco worked out a media cooperation accord in 1972, as part of a multi-aspect agreement covering economic, commercial and cultural sectors. She expressed readiness to put all KUNA’s resources at disposal of ensuring success of the mutual cooperation.

She emphasized necessity of continuing coordination between the two sides to address media affairs of common concern and take joint stances regarding Arab and international issues.

For his part, the Moroccan ambassador said during the meeting that the Kuwaiti-Moroccan relations constitute an example to follow at the level of inter-Arab ties, underlining necessity to promote these bonds at the political, economic, cultural and media levels.

He lauded the noticeable role of the Kuwaiti media in North Africa, particularly in Morocco, and its role in promoting Arabs’ causes and stances.
