Kuwait Amb. to UK stresses importance of Kuwait-British Joint Steering Group

— The State of Kuwait Ambassador to the United Kingdom Khaled Al-Duwaisan affirmed, Sunday, the importance of the Kuwait-British Joint Steering Group meeting in London next Thursday.

Ambassador Al-Duwaisan told KUNA those meetings would enhance relations and also discuss issues of international importance.

Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majdi Al-Dhefiri and UK Minister for Middle East and North Africa James Cleverly will head the Kuwaiti and UK delegations.

Both sides agreed that current year meetings would be held remotely, further submitting recommendations Thursday.

Al-Duwaisan also pointed out that both sides would sign the upcoming six months’ work policy in various fields.

Kuwait is seeking the best British experiences in cyber security, he added.

The Kuwait-British Joint Steering Group established on the sideline of the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah official visit 2012, Al-Duwaisan said.

He also highlighted the achievements of the joint steering groups’ meetings in most vital fields, aiming to strengthen both sides’ collective efforts in future
