Kuwait City: A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at Bayan Palace on Sunday under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The event was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and Head of the Court of Cassation Adel Bouresli, and senior state officials.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the motorcade of His Highness the Amir was given a 21-gun salute and a warm welcome by personnel of the Army, Police, and National Guard upon arrival at the venue. His Highness the Amir then hoisted the flag as the National Anthem was played.
